About David Fienup
David Fienup is a sound designer and sound engineer with experience writing, producing, recording, editing, mixing and mastering music. Experience with production and post-production sound for picture including boom-op, production sound mixer, dialogue editing, ADR recording/editing, sound effects creation/editing, Foley artist/mixer, music composition/arranging, final mix engineering, supervising sound editor, and general sound design. Extensive music composition experience in classical, electronic, electroacoustic, rock and blues. Comfortable in large and small studios, and on-location recording situations.
David has been working on a sound effects collection since May 2009, recording and editing over 2,800 sounds in a year, while also working on many independent short and feature films. David strives for the highest fidelity possible, and takes personal care in high-precision editing. As of 6/10/11, David has amassed over 3,800 sound effects, and his collection grows daily.

He holds a Bachelor of Art in classical performance from Albion College, Albion, Michigan, USA where he began composing and recording music. He also received a Master of Arts in Media Arts in May 2009 from the University of Michigan, USA. His thesis was entitled "Motion Picture Sound Design: Sonic Motifs, Soundscapes, and Synchresis."
