Sound Design Competition Announced by Blastwave FX and Post Magazine

New York, NY- September 16, 2008: Blastwave FX (www.blastwavefx.com), developer of next-generation HD sound effects libraries, is teaming up with Post Magazine to host the SONOPEDIA Sound Design Competition. Anyone can register online at www.postmagazine.com to download 40 free sound effects selected from the SONOPEDIA sound effects library. Participants then have until November 14th to create and submit a 30 second sound design narrative using those sounds. A panel of Academy Award-winning sound designers - including Randy Thom, Lon Bender, and Richard King - will judge the competition and select a winner to be announced in the December issue of Post Magazine. The winner will receive SONOPEDIA, the Encyclopedia of HD Sound Effects - a $4,000 value! SONOPEDIA consists of 20,000 HD sound effects delivered on a 250GB Glyph hard drive.
