I'm new and I also record SFX, (Line in for VideoGame music) I use a good quality mic (Via DS, PSP, and a headset mic)
I'm good at using Line in (basically easiest way)

Youve might of seen me at some other sites.
This site is a very well (Best) site ive seen for real world SFX. Normally I find video game ones.
