Hi all,
I've just released a piece of freeware software called TeleQ which uses wav files and DirectSound to create sound environments. I've used Soundsnap files heavily in creating the packs available on the site.
The Editor part of the software allows you to design 'TelePacks' which are sound environments that can be saved and exported for others yo load into the Player. The Editor allows you to place sounds (fixed or randomly) in 3-D space, randomise/set the frequency, looping and movement to create the environment you're looking for. You can control how often the sounds are played through a hierarchy of spawning 'SoundThreads' which are shown visually.
The Player quite simply lets you load up a TelePack, play, and listen. Hit About to see the attributions and links to the original sound file sources.
A big thanks to all who have and continue to create these sounds which have and will continue to have a big place in this project.
