Hi,

i'm search a software to manage soundeffects over 1 half year... NOT for a software for Sound (example: advance mp3 catalog pro, the sound-software hase not the informationen, there a user to manage effects need, example, sample rate)!

I need the informations time, sample rate, filename, a categorie-function and a search-function.

i'm so sad! i have only find Soundminer, but 500 US$ is for private use to pricey.

FindSounds Palette is okay, but i can't sort in a categorie, and i can't load a other database. if i will other sound, i must remove my palette and scan the other sounds.
(copy&paste the program-folder and rename will not wok! the database ist the same)

Please help me!

(I mailing now to studios and request there!)

ITunes is great, but it also

ITunes is great, but it also has a nasty habit of losing anything that isn't categorized by all of it's category slots (song, album, artist, etc.) properly. I have lost several SFX and original audio tracks by not making sure I had them tagged correctly to avoid the "Various Artist" syndrome in their filing format, so be careful.

Take a look at

Take a look at AudioFinder
http://www.icedaudio.com/
It's quite inexpensive and while it doesn't have all the metadata editing capabilities of SoundMiner (which is pretty much the Mac industry standard) it does an excellent job of organizing your sounds/samples etc.

Hi Jatop i think this is what you need:
http://www.baseheadinc.com/ and check -SFX DATABASE-
I use it its easy it has a nice interface works great you can search(i save much time by searching my 200GB SFX library) also you can preview your sounds and you can drag and drop. ;-)

I Tunes is free and has Windows and Mac ver.
Open I tunes and select View>View Options and you can select whatever details you want to be listed.
I dont think you can export to another database though.
