There is so many steps and peoples involved in the creative process, that I doubt Britney or George would ever be the guy who choose the sample.
Anyway, that's already a good manner for people like us to thanks the person who provided the sample if we use it commercialy.
Georges Michael uses Soundsnap
Hey Monster,
It doesnt matter if its George, Phil or or an unknown bedroom producer. The Soundsnap license clearly states:
'Licencor hereby grants You a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual (for the duration of the applicable copyright) licence to exercise the rights in the Work as stated.'
This means that you cannot be compensated for the use of your work or recieve any kind of royalties, since you have agreed to the license.
I think you knew the answer already to this though, and your comment is aimed somewhere else: If you can sue them for emotional damage?? :-)
I am not a lawyer, but I think that you 'd have a hard time convincing anyone that their use of your sample has caused you emotional pain :-).
Do u really think George Michael would sample you, Monster?
Tasos
P.s: I kind of like George Michael

What happen if Georges Michael use a drumloop from Soundsnap in his new super hit ??????
or even if Phil Collins does ?
