There is a buzz in the virtual world industry.
Currently are several virtual worlds and virtual world grids under construction, which are based on Opensimulator/Second Life Technology.
Internet becomes 3D. We already have the possibility to teleport from one virtual world to another and teleporting from Second Life to an Opensimulator Grid is already successful tested.
As a Content- and Solutionprovider for virtual worlds, i would like to have a sound library with high quality sounds, made available, to be used within the virtual world grids.
List of some Grids
If someone would like to start a (soundsnap) sound library for Virtual Worlds, based on Second Life Technology/Opensimulator:
Currently valid OpenSimulator sound formats are PCM WAVE (.wav) 16-bit/44.1KHz/mono or stereo with a maximum length of 10.00 seconds.
Second Life in-world sound clips are valid if they are any .wav files in standard PCM format, 16-bit/44.1kHz/mono or stereo (converted to mono on upload), less than or exactly 10 seconds in length.
What type of sounds are needed ?
Any type of high quality
Environmental sounds
Nature
Comic FX
etc.
Thank you in advance.
Please get in touch with me.

Hi Community!
I am currently gathering for a Quiz & Comic Project.
To become concrete, the project is a MUVE (multi-user virtual environment), based on "Second Life Technology".
I would like to offer a "in-world library" with high quality sounds, fitting to the Quiz & Comic Theme. The sounds will be used by content creators for (virtual) products. Those products can be bought/sold through our community shop system.
Can anyone imagine to run a store for sounds in a simulated, virtual world?
I need some advice on this topic.
Thank you in advance,
Marcus
