games vs. libraries

The license says you can use these sounds in any game, but you cannot "Resell or distribute the sounds 'as they are'. For example, you cannot download and sell them as part of a CD library"

If you distribute sounds with a game they can always be extracted as if the game data was just a big library. Some games even make it very easy. For example, the data file for Doom 3 is just a renamed .zip file. You can unpack it and grab any of the data you want.

Is this a contradiction in the License, or do you merely have to alter or mix the sounds before you put them in a game so they don't get distributed 'as they are'? Or are there any other ways to look at this question?

The type of use that you

The type of use that you describe is definitely allowed.

As long as your intention is not to distribute them, you are not violating our license.

However, I would suggest making the data downloading harder.

Cheers.
