I'd like to fire off a couple of questions as well.

1.) I searched around a bit, but couldn't answer the most important question to me: If I buy, for example, a 1-month-subscription, does it automatically get cancelled at the end of that one month period or will I be repeatedly billed, month by month, until I manually cancel a subscription?

2.) I assume designing (and selling) animations including sounds from Soundsnap counts as "derivative work"?

3.) Essentially buying sounds that can be used for commercial works is easily the main appeal this site has to me. How can I be absolutely sure that the sounds I find here are indeed royalty free/not simply ripped from a copyrighted source? I am fully aware that you do your best to ax such uploads, but nobody can possibly know every single copyrighted sound in the world - which would probably open me up for quite a bit of legal trouble in case I use a copyrighted sound for a commercial piece of work and the original creator finds out.

1. Paid accounts return to FREE at the end of the time period or upon reaching the maximum count. Accounts are not automatically billed.

2. Yes, you are allowed to use sounds in this way. But you cannot make the sounds available to others for download or use.

3. I will have to let legal provide an official answer. Until then: As you state, we do go to great pains to assure the sounds are unique, and work with established artists who also assure us the sounds are custom created. Unlike some sites, we have very strict rules for uploads and all uploads are moderated.
