I am really excited about this website. I am a fairly new user. I am in total support of the new changes, and am willing to pony-up a little dough for these great sound effects. I know just how much work goes into creating each sound bite, whether it's 1 second or 2 minutes long.
I wish that I could upload a bunch of my own SFX, though - whether I'm going to get paid for them or not - simply to give back to a community that gave me quite a few free sounds before I had to get the new account.
I'm a Master of Arts in Media Arts student at the University of Michigan studying sound production for music and film (graduating May 2009). I've been doing a lot of my own sound effects creation and foley for the films I've been working on. Many of those sounds are very high quality (recorded 88.2kHz), and I'm sure someone out there could make extra use out of them.
