I think it will depend largely on how the contributors will be paid.
If we go with a typical "crowdsourcing" model, the 'sound requests' forum could certainly work out really well.

hi...what changes are you going to make to the "sound requests" area... are requests going to work with the new membership modles?...will the requests be directed tword the "stable" of soundsnap uploaders...or will the comunity have the chance to answer requests through soundsnap and not personal e-mail?
and will the reqests be free to those howm requested the sounds?
as you know i enjoy answerring some of the requests...
