Have you considered education?

Considering the new changes to the website and charging for downloads, I am wondering if you have thought about how this will effect your users belonging to educational institutions. I am willing to bet that an extremely large portion of the downloads from your site were by students. Initially, I was introduced to soundsnap by a music teacher. As a high school technology education teacher, my students download hundreds of sounds throughout the school year to be used in class projects and our television studio broadcasts. I also personally know many other teachers who use the website for similar purposes. In fact, soundsnap has been mentioned on national and highly visible websites such as schooltube.

My intention is not to complain about the changes but to encourage a solution that may benefit both education and the creators of the music supplied on soundsnap. It would be a shame to deny a very large base of potential revenue. Maybe a yearly fee system could be specifically tailored for schools. Access passwords can be routinely changed to minimize outside usage. In any case, feedback on this topic would be greatly appreciated. I know the changes you have implemented are effecting many schools and we would love to hear your thoughts. I really do not want to abandon soundsnap. Thanks.
