Two animated cartoons that used extensive soundsnap sounds.

Hi,
I'm the creative director at a small tech startup called paglo.com. We create IT database management SAAS. Anyhow, we have a small budget set aside for advertising. Since I have a background in making animated cartoons, we decided to create an animated viral video series. We came up with " Bill the IT Guy" and have produced two episodes thus far. Each are a little over 4 minutes each.

Anyhow, The quality of sounds here are great and a fantastic resource. Its been years since I made cartoons, and back in the day, you had to either make them yourself or do some serious searching around. This was a big time saver and allowed me to complete these in around 3 weeks each. Thanks to all the soundsnap artists.

Here are the two episodes:

Episode one: Bill the IT Guy in: The attack of the Killer Sushi

Episode two: Bill the IT Guy in: Gadget Madness!

Thanks again-Seth

Admittedly, the sound is not

Admittedly, the sound is not fantastic. I did it all in Audacity with a $8 mic from Wal-Mart. We have very little budget for side projects like this and I get 2-3 weeks max to produce the entire film. I find many of the tools in Audacity to me less intuitive than other sound programs. Then again, its free. All of the sounds were compiled in Flash. It really bogs down after awhile, and since this project has over 1,000 components, I had to cut a few things sad to say.

Anyhow, thanks again for the fantastic sound site! It really makes a difference in the character and feeling of my films. -Seth

Great stuff Seth. Both are

Great stuff Seth.

Both are great and I loved the whole Steve Jobs turtleneck thing and 'Pear' logo. Also the manga style battle scenes. Excellent!

However, I would suggest that you need to work a bit more on the sound. You need better recordings of the voices, and more sounds. Finally, you need a professional to take care of the whole mix so it sounds crisp.

If you want, perhaps you could hire someone through this forum to do it- if you have the budget.

C u around!
