Hi, I recently stumbled on this site while trying to look online for a recording of the clock bell from Covent Garden's St Paul's Church. Up popped John Leonard's recording - thanks John, been lucky enough to work along John a couple of times over the last 10 years or so, very talented guy who i learnt a lot from. Well, a little bit about me, I'm Wills (well, Matthew Williams, but only my mum and dad call me that!!), I work at a large producing house theatre here in sunny North Wales, in the UK. Our director is former RSC artistic director, Terry Hands CBE and I am one of two main sound designers for our theatre and have designed sound for approx 30 shows here, including shows in New York and London, as well as numerous shows and events elsewhere. Although working in theatre professionally for about 17 years, I have done a lot of studio recording and live FOH mixing and continue to do quite a lot of post production work for various established artistes. My standard kit for shows is Stage Research's SFX running through a Yamaha DM2000 desk with more outboard gear than you could shake a stick out. I'm lucky enough to have access to a huge microphone stock, which includes AKG C414s, C300 series, Sure Beta 87s etc etc. Location recording is normally done onto a Marantz CF recorder then edited and mastered within Sony's Sound Forge.
I'm loving this site and hope to have my pending sounds approved soon so I can share more of my sounds here. Although recording lots of different styles and types of sounds, I have to admit, my favourite type of effect to record are usually quite silly and are great for comedy and pantomimes.
Thanks for your time, hope to become a contributing member of this site soon.
Cheers

Thanks Tasos. I look forward to hearing from you soon regarding my uploads. I don't know if it is of any interest when accepting my sounds but I have just added my IMDB.com link (I have only just realised I was on there).
Cheers
Wills
